Refund policy

To provide the best possible consumer experience, and to ensure the intended integrity and reliability of items available for purchase, Martin's Outdoor Power Equipment maintains the following policy for returns, cancellations, and refunds.

 

PROOF OF PURCHASE

Only items purchased from Martin's Outdoor or Twin Pines Power Equipment locations may be considered eligible for return or exchange, in accordance with the remainder of our return policy.  Proof of purchase is required for any return or exchange, regardless of stocking status.  At our sole discretion, items accepted for return or exchange without proof of purchase may be offered store credit only, at the lowest historical sale price.  Customer information will be collected for all returns and exchanges.

 

REFUNDS

Refunds are generally made back to the original method of payment.  Martin's Outdoor may elect to issue a company check for returns greater than $500.  Returns accepted under special consideration may be limited to store credit. Shipping, handling, and restocking charges may reduce the total amount refunded, in accordance with the remainder of our return policy.

 

RETURNS

New Ride-On or Wheeled Equipment
Returns and exchanges are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions and, when applicable, the dealership delivery contract.  When freight delivery is involved, refusals at delivery will be considered return of new equipment for the purposes of this policy.

 

New Hand-Held Equipment
Returns and exchanges are subject to the manufacturer's return policy.

 

New Parts
Eligible parts may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, and must be in new, unused condition, with the original packaging.  Parts with evidence of wear from installation, regardless of duration of service, may not be eligible for return.

 

Used Equipment and Parts
Although every reasonable effort is made to stock, honestly represent, and sell used items of value and quality, used equipment and parts are sold as-is, without any expressed or implied warranty.  No speculation of remaining service life is intended as a guarantee.  Martin's Outdoor cannot endorse or guarantee the manner of use or operational history of any used equipment offered for sale.  Used equipment and parts are not eligible for return.

 

Ineligible Parts and Consumables
No returns are accepted after delivery of new electrical parts, hydraulic parts, parts kits comprising any major electrical or hydraulic components (e.g., wiring harnesses, control or power modules, remote controls, switches, motors, sensors, circuit or logic boards, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, etc.), or service fluids (fuels, oils, lubricants, treatments).

Certain major mechanical and engine components, once installed and regardless of use, cannot be returned.  Furthermore, improper installation or failure to properly complete initial conditioning may void all warranties, limiting the buyer's return or exchange options with the manufacturer.  Proper installation and pre-service conditioning, when applicable, are the sole responsibilities of the buyer.

Whenever practical, we earnestly recommend professional evaluation, trained service, and proper installation of OEM parts by an authorized dealer to protect any warranties and buyer options you may have.

 

Special Orders
Special orders for non-stocked or discontinued items are not eligible for return.

 

Final Sale
Clearance items, discontinued items, "open box" and "shop worn" specials, and "salvage," "for parts," and "auction grade" sales are not eligible for return.

 

ORDER CANCELLATIONS

Customer Cancellation
Whole or partial orders, including backordered items, that have not been processed or shipped may be modified or cancelled at the customer's request. Once we have confirmed the order or item status, the cancellation will be processed and the customer notified.

 

In-Process Orders
We do our best to update order and item statuses without avoidable delay.  In the event that orders have already been processed, shipped, or are being filled directly from our vendors, we may not be able to process a cancellation request.  However, we will be happy to assist with a return, in accordance with our Return Policy, after the product has been delivered.

 

Errors, Invalid Data, Prohibited Items, and General Disclaimers
In accordance with the website's Terms of Service, we reserve the right to cancel orders and refund payments for any reason, at any time, at our sole discretion.

At Martin's Outdoor Power Equipment, we do our best to ensure that the information presented on the website and its overall functionality well represent our available inventory, as well as our operating fundamental to delight our customers whenever possible with each transaction. Nevertheless, we do acknowledge that the reliance on many cooperating technologies and data providers to make the website available to our customers can sometimes lead to unintentional errors in inventory levels, deliverability, pricing, images, and descriptions. 

In many cases, at our sole discretion, we will fulfill orders as they were placed, or we will contact the buyer to inform them of the error and do our best to assist them with updated details, options, and/or pricing. In these events, our customers always have the option to request cancellation of unfulfilled items and receive a prompt and courteous refund.

Orders to ship "pickup only" items (such as hazardous materials or certain classes of equipment) may be modified or cancelled.  Applicable refunds will be promptly processed.

Orders to ship items that are prohibited by local law (such as gasoline powered equipment requested to ship to regions that ban such equipment) may be modified or cancelled. Applicable refunds will be promptly processed.

Orders we determine, at our sole discretion, to have been placed in bad faith, including fraudulent activity, activity intended to circumvent applicable laws, or activity intending to take advantage of clear errors in product presentment or pricing may be automatically cancelled. Applicable refunds will be promptly processed.

 

FEES AND SHIPPING CHARGES

Shipping Charges, Labor Charges, and Other Fees
Any shipping, handling, expedite, special-order, broken-package / split-lot charges, financing fees, trade or transaction fees, consignment fees, delivery fees, and/or shop-labor charges are non-refundable.  Additional freight services and associated charges (such as lift-gate, inside delivery, restricted access, driver detention, attempted or redelivery, etc.) requested or incurred by the consignee as conditions of delivery are billable to the buyer and non-refundable.

 

Restocking Fees
Certain products may be subject to manufacturer or dealership restocking fees.  Items accepted for return with damaged or missing packaging may be subject to a restocking or repackaging fee.  Standard restocking fee: up to 20%.  Special Order and Drop Ship restocking fee: 25%.  Recovery of undeliverable or refused shipments restocking fee: 30%.

 

Return Freight
Shipping or transportation costs to return parts or equipment are the responsibility of the buyer.  "Collect" or "C.O.D." shipments, consignee billed freight, and any associated services will be refused by the dealer and charged back to the shipper.  Returns or exchanges of equipment must be pre-authorized by the dealer.  Delivery to the dealer of equipment or ineligible items may be subject to refusal, storage charges, or considered abandoned by the buyer.  Recovery and reconsignment of items in transit that are refused by the buyer, abandoned at destination, or otherwise undeliverable, and all related costs (e.g. additional shipping costs, carrier storage, reconsignment fees, etc.) are the responsibility of the buyer, and may be deducted from any return or refund, in addition to any applicable restocking fee.
